Street Parking
Street parking during heavy snowfall, residents should move cars off streets to facilitate plowing, often within 12 hours of a 3-inch+ accumulation. Shaeffer Blvd and Llangollen Blvd were a direct result of plows not being able to do their job effectively. This left high usage streets a complete mess.
Street parking poses significant drawbacks, including high risks of vehicle damage (scratches, dents), vulnerability to theft, and exposure to weather-related wear like rust from salt or tree sap. It causes congestion, restricts traffic flow, and often involves complex, strict regulations leading to fines, while also reducing available space for cyclists and pedestrians.
